Akoya pearls, grown from Pinctada fucata oysters, were first cultivated in Japan and have represented refined beauty since the 1920s, remaining consistently popular while steadily increasing in value.
Directly sourced as a finished jewellery piece from the Japan International Jewellery Exhibition, this elegant necklace combines a genuine Japanese Akoya pearl with beautifully made Japanese S925 sterling silver fittings.
At the centre is a 7.6mm genuine Japanese Akoya pearl, perfectly round with a flawless, exceptionally smooth surface. Its classic crystal white body colour is illuminated by a soft pink overtone, giving the pearl that beautiful translucent depth and luminous glow characteristic of fine-quality Japanese Akoya. The strong lustre creates crisp reflections across the surface while the subtle pink appears delicately through the white.
The pearl sits at the centre of an elegant three-petal motif, each softly curved petal framed with fine beaded detailing and set with rows of sparkling baguette-cut CZ stones.
